At more than 225 years old, there are lots of repairs and replacements needed to roads, sidewalks, and parks in our city; water and sewer systems need repair and expansion to meet growth demands. Addressing downtown parking challenges and pedestrian safety with solutions.

I will ensure that every tax dollar is spent wisely to improve the quality of life for our citizens. I am committed to continuing the tradition of strong financial reporting and outside audit practices that have earned the city a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for over 20 consecutive years from the Government Financial Officers Association.

As an 8-year member of planning and zoning, I have helped pave the way for many completed and upcoming projects supporting small businesses, affordable housing initiatives, and businesses / manufacturing bringing higher wages. We should Capitalize on our strengths to support tourism with the new Agricultural Center, Zoo City Sportsplex, historic McCrary Ballpark, NC Zoological Park, and the jewel of downtown,
our Sunset Theater.
As a member of multiple strategic planning committees spanning two decades, I have helped develop the vision for managed growth plan, paving the way to our All-America City designation in 2016. We are in the process of updating the current strategic plan to carry us into the future.

Our quality of life and hometown feel is what makes Asheboro a great place to live and visit. The city provides numerous recreational amenities, art and cultural experiences, community concerts and events, and activities for our youngest community members to our seniors. The heart of our city is neighbors helping neighbors, volunteerism, servant leadership, supporting dedicated community organizations, and taking care of our employees. Providing more opportunities that make Asheboro a great place to live, work, and play will continue to enhance our daily lives while keeping the special qualities that make Asheboro the great place we call home!
