Vote Pamala Vuncannon for Asheboro City Council

I love my hometown of Asheboro and everything that makes our town so special. As a Class of 1987 Blue Comet, my roots run deep.  I grew up in a little house on Meadowbrook, the daughter of Bobby and Betty Short.

I met and married my forever love, Veteran, Jimmy Vuncannon right here on Fayetteville Street after a Super Bowl game and we married in First Baptist Church of Asheboro in 1993 and attend Sunset Avenue Church of God.  We live in the heart of Greystone with our four furry rescues, Lady, Diamond, Lovey, and Molly, our three-legged "chunk of happiness".

About

Career

My mortgage banking career has been focused on making home ownership a reality for countless friends, neighbors, and people across our triad.  Affordable housing, community reinvestment, land development, public grants, and managed community growth have always been a major focus in my journey to help people attain the American dream.

Volunteering

Many of you know me as the founder of Asheboro Randolph Animal Alliance, a non-profit rescue dedicated to helping our companion animals across Randolph County.  I manage the Lost and Found Pets pages within the city of Asheboro and across Randolph County that have reunited hundreds if not thousands of families with their beloved pets.

I have spent countless hours volunteering in many capacities across our community with community organizations, providing medical transportation, caring for the most vulnerable in our community, making and delivering flower arrangements, and blessing people with my card ministry.

My life is one of serving others, sharing the gift of hospitality, and having compassion for others.  I grew up collecting dolls, love baking and sharing good farm to table food, and rummaging through antique shops.  My husband and I both love to travel, but my favorite thing is always coming home to Asheboro.
